Mobility Unified Reporting System

Session, application, and network knowledge are critical components necessary to provide a superior service experience to customers. Starent’s multimedia core platforms collect extensive amounts of real-time service information, including information from Layer 1 to 7 through shallow and deep packet inspection (DPI), plus real-time tracing and troubleshooting information.

The Mobility Unified Reporting System provides a comprehensive and consistent set of statistics of customized reports, statistical trending, and report scheduling and distribution from all products. Examples include data usage by subscriber, top URLs browsed, top users report, and traffic distribution by time of day.

The Reporting System is part of Starent's Intelligent Management solution that provides real-time collection, display, and storage of service, application, session, and network information leveraged from Starent's multimedia core platforms.

Key Modules

  • Unified Reporting – Includes a comprehensive and consistent set of statistics and customized reports, statistical trending, and report scheduling and distribution from all products. Examples include data usage by subscriber, top URLs browsed, top users report, and traffic distribution by time of day.
  • InTracer – High performance network troubleshooting and monitoring tool to analyze and investigate subscriber/session, protocol, and system related events. InTracer sends a copy of every control packet to inPilot for every call/session as part of normal system processing. This information helps determine where and why problems occur.
  • Element Management System – Key features include compilation of bulk statistics, protocol monitoring, session monitoring and auditing, enhancing network troubleshooting, and deep subscriber understanding.
