Starent Networks offers comprehensive technical training on our products and solutions. Our technical training portfolio includes product-specific topics, such as introduction and overview, installation and maintenance, system administration and configuration, and performance analysis. Most classes can be delivered on-site or at our Technical Education Center located near Boston, Massachusetts.

Highly Effective Technical Training

Our courses are instructor-led and include numerous hands-on lab exercises using a mix of simulators and actual products to re-enforce concepts taught during lecture and to ensure each student receives the most effective training possible. Class sizes are limited so each student receives the individual attention needed to be successful.

Our courses are not only designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the subject matter, but also to provide flexible delivery options to meet specific schedules and learning needs:

Courses can be delivered on-site or at our Technical Education Center.
Individual courses pertain to specific areas of interests allowing students to get the information they need in a timely fashion.
Multiple courses can be strung together to produce learning tracks ranging from two to five days in length.

Introduction to the ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway

Description: This course provides a comprehensive introduction and overview of supported ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway features and functionality for implementing data services. This course is recommended for anyone requiring a thorough understanding of the ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway.

Length: One (1) day

Audience:
- CDMA 2000 network operators
- GPRS or UMTS network operators
Prerequisites: None
ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway — System Installation

Description: This course provides detailed instruction on the installation of all hardware components of the Starent ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway for data services. Through numerous exercises, participants receive extensive hands-on experience covering all physical installation processes. By the end of this training, all successful participants will have attained the high degree of skill and knowledge required to perform all physical installation tasks. At the completion of this course, participants have the opportunity to test their newly learned skills and become Starent Networks Certified Installers.

Length: One (1) day

ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway — Administration and Configuration

Description: This course provides detailed instruction on how to manage, monitor, configure, and administer all basic services within the Starent ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway. Through numerous exercises, participants obtain extensive hands-on experience covering all areas of basic system administration and configuration of the StarOS™ software.

Length: Three (3) days

Audience:
- CDMA 2000 network operators
- GPRS or UMTS network operators
Prerequisites (required):
- Introduction to the ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway
ST16 Web Element Manager — Introduction and Administration

Description: This course provides detailed instruction on how to manage, monitor, configure, and administer all basic services within the Starent ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway using the ST16 Web Element Manager application.

Through numerous exercises, participants obtain extensive hands-on experience covering all areas of basic system administration and configuration of the ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway using the ST16 Web Element Manager application.

Length: One (1) day

Through numerous exercises, participants obtain extensive hands-on experience covering all areas of administration and configuration of the Enhanced Charging Service feature.
