Starent's Professional Services team offers both standard and comprehensive on-site network installation services for all products purchased from Starent Networks.    

Standard Network Installation Services

For customers requiring on-site installation of Starent Networks' products, our Professional Services team can install, configure, and test the Starent Networks equipment. This service includes:
  • Complete documentation including Method of Procedure (MOP), Job Start Notification, Job Plan (when required), Job Information Memorandum (JIM), In-Process Reports, and Job Completion Report
  • Physical installation of ST16 or ST40 chassis into equipment rack or telecommunication cabinet
  • Physical installation of applicable application and interface cards
  • Physical cabling of system, including power cabling from power distribution frame (PDF) drop, LAN/WAN cabling, and central office alarms
  • System power-up and local management access verification
This pre-packaged service is available for all Starent Networks' products, and is available in most areas of the world.

Comprehensive Network Installation Services

Should more customized network installation be required, such as installing large multi-site networks, our comprehensive installation service ensures a smooth implementation from equipment order to final acceptance testing. More extensive than our standard network installation service, this service is customized to meet customer-specific requirements. Comprehensive network installation services can consist of all or part of the following:
  • A review of network configuration and design
  • Management of the ordering and delivery process
  • Equipment pre-staging and testing
  • Pre-installation site surveys and on-site installation
  • Extended verification and acceptance testing of Starent Networks equipment
  • Optional supplementary documentation such as equipment layout and topology drawings
Our project management and network installation professionals will work with each customer to develop a custom installation program and provide both a statement of work (SOW) and a full-price proposal prior to the order.
