Starent’s GGSN supports all major standards for deployment in a GPRS/UMTS/W-CDMA network. The solution is ideal for high-density network deployments as it is capable of supporting up 3,000,000 PDP type IP contexts. Three chassis can be installed in a standard 48 RMU telecommunications rack or equipment cabinet. In support of both mobile- and network-originated subscriber PDP contexts, the Starent GGSN provides the 3GPP standard Gn, Ga, Gc, Gi, and Gp network interfaces.

The Starent GGSN is architected to support all IMS related GGSN functions, such as flow-based charging and Quality of Service (QoS) without requiring a forklift upgrade, thus ensuring investment protection as your network evolves to multimedia rich services that drive average revenue per user (ARPU) and subscriber satisfaction.
